Creation of a new state curriculum for youth to develop entrepreneurial competencies

On July 1 and 2, Anna Chuba – founder and chairperson of the public organization “Impact Business Hub”, and Roman Minevych – executive director of the public union “Western Ukrainian Cluster of Social Enterprises” – took part in the development of a new national educational program for youth aimed at enhancing entrepreneurial competencies (including social entrepreneurship). This initiative was launched by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine in partnership with and within the framework of the flagship UNDP and European Union project in Ukraine, “EU4Recovery – Empowering Communities in Ukraine.”

Anna shared her experience in implementing and the outcomes of the projects “Lviv School Social Enterprises” and “RESTART: From Idea to Veteran Business” for patients of the Unbroken Rehabilitation Center, as the majority of course participants are individuals aged 14 to 35.

This program is especially important when we look at the data! As of 2025 (according to Statistics Times), there are 5.79 million people in Ukraine aged 23 to 35 – the largest age group among young people! There are approximately 1.08 million individuals aged 14–17, and 1.92 million aged 18–22. In other words, a significant portion of the youth are already adults – active individuals who are currently a true driving force of economic change, provided they are given the right tools for development.

And most importantly, this program is about youth and for youth! Its main goal is to create new opportunities for young people in Ukraine to realize their potential.
